Buy a service contract
Also called an extended warranty or repair contract, a vehicle service contract covers repair costs for your vehicle if something breaks down.
We sell vehicle service contracts for most vehicles with less than 100,000 miles at the time the contract starts. Rates vary based on your vehicle’s make and model, its current odometer miles, and the coverage you select. For covered repairs, you’ll have only a $100 deductible.

You’re not limited to repairs at Buerkle. You can have your vehicle repaired at any ASE-certified repair shop. Most all professional auto repair shops in the US are ASE-certified.
Plus, you can easily transfer or cancel your coverage whenever you need to.
If your vehicle qualifies for a service contract, you can purchase one at any time. Contact our Finance team to get a price for your specific vehicle. (Unfortunately, we don’t have self-service pricing available at this time.)

If you can’t afford a major breakdown, or would rather pay a known amount up front than take the risk of what might happen with your vehicle, a vehicle service contract could be right for you.
- Coverage for repairs in case of a mechanical breakdown
- Can be used at any ASE-certified repair shop nationwide (via a reimbursement to you, if direct billing is not available at that shop)
- Easy to transfer or cancel
- Also includes roadside assistance, rental coverage, and trip interruption coverage
- 30-day exclusion period after you purchase the contract: Coverage starts for issues that become known after the exclusion period (sorry, you can’t wait until something big happens and then buy a service contract to cover it!)

What’s covered?
We can offer a Comprehensive-level service contract on most vehicles, so everything listed below can be covered in your contract.
All information on this page is provided for convenience and informational purposes only. It is not part of the contract, nor does it amend the contract, and all information is subject to change. FAQs
What is the length of the service contract?
You can choose the length (months and miles) when you get a quote. There are multiple options available. Typical lengths are 3-5 years.
Who backs the service contract?
Our service contracts are backed by Universal Underwriters Insurance Company, a member company of Zurich North America, part of one of the largest financial and insurance groups in the world.
When does my coverage start?
Your coverage starts for problems that appear 30 days or more after you purchase the contract.
How much does it cost?
The price of the service contract may be affected based on the car make, model, age, mileage, condition (new or used), coverage, and length of contract, among other factors.
What if I sell my car?
If you sell your car, you can choose to either transfer the contract to the new owner (a small fee may apply), or cancel it entirely and receive a pro-rated refund. The refund is based on the amount of time/miles remaining on your contract. You can still get a refund if you've used your benefits.
