  • Veteran customers must be within 2 years of separation
  • Must provide a copy of DFAS RAS confirmation form, Report of Separation (DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty).

  • American Gold Star families are immediate relatives (Widow, Parents, Next of Kin) of members of the U.S. Armed Forces who have been killed in combat or in support of certain military activities.
  • "Parents” includes mother, father, stepmother, stepfather, mother through adoption, father through adoption, and foster parents
  • "Next of Kin" only includes children, brothers, sisters, half-brothers, and half-sisters; and the term "children" includes stepchildren and children through adoption
• Gold Star Family members must provide one of the following:
  • Copy of the Report of Casualty (DD Form 1300)
  • Copy of the application for Gold Star Lapel Button (DD Form 3)
  • Other official military service documentation supporting Gold Star status
• Must meet HFS credit criteria and sign an HFS retail finance, Honda Leadership Leasing® or Honda Leadership Purchase Plan® (“balloon”) contract
